Diamond Jubilee
David Bennett, our Managing Director, was honoured to have been invited, as a representative of the British glove trade, to attend the official Lunch held at Westminster Hall, London, on Tuesday, 05 June and given for Her Majesty The Queen by the City Livery Companies in celebration her Diamond Jubilee.

On Friday 25th May 2012 the Master of the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London, Keith Ebsworth, presented Certificates of Merit in recognition of 25 years' service to the two members of staff, Steven Porter and Gillian Murgatroyd.

Apron Prevents Serious Injury

PPE at Work
The recent decision by Luton Magistrates' Court to impose a substantial fine on a glass manufacturer after an employee was seriously hurt when a sheet of glass shattered in his hand has highlighted, once again, the obligation (imposed in the UK by the PPE at Work Regulations 1992, as amended) on all employers to provide suitable protective clothing to their employees.

We were very pleased to welcome a wide range of visitors on to our stand at this year's HOSDB exhibition, including a number of overseas delegations as well as representatives from our many existing UK police customers.
Cut finger to cost Council
The recent judgement of the Court of Appeal in London in favour of a street cleaner which is expected to cost Hull City Council at least £100,000 in damages and costs has highlighted the obligation (imposed in the UK by the PPE at Work Regulations 1992, as amended) on all employers to provide suitable hand protection to their employees.
