Gladding Garments

Designed originally for hot-end glass manufacturing, our unique range of gladding garments offer excellent thermal protection in oven and kiln work environments.

Gladding is unique wool that is specially treated in such a way that for it to burn, a much higher level of oxygen (>30%) than normally found in the atmosphere (21%) would be required.

Gladding Jacket (GJ/35)

• 100% Gladding
• Tested for molten metal splash
• EN531 (A.B3.C2.D3.E3)
• Designed using metal press-stud fastenings to aid quick removal if necessary
• Also available with 2 front pockets, double layer collar and hemmed cuffs/bottom for additional thermal protection (model GJ/35/WSP - shown)

Aluminised Coat (AC/59)

Aluminised 3/4 length coat with hood for furnace and other hot work.

• Two front pockets
• Hood with mouthpiece
• Stud fastening on mouthpiece and coat front

Reinforced Gladding Jacket (GJK/85)

Designed for intense heat where there is a risk of singeing due to contact or close proximity.

• 100% Gladding
• Fully reinforced on outer with brushed aramid
• EN531 (A.B5.C2.D3.E3)
